THE CONTEXT

The European Commission envision an high-quality, inclusive and accessible digital education in Europe. In particular, it aims to:

  • learn from the COVID-19 crisis, during which technology is being used at an unprecedented scale in education and training
  • make education and training systems fit for the digital age.

 

THE #EDUCATION&CULTURE CHALLENGE

Who's in charge of this challenge?

INCOMA is a training and research centre based in Seville (Spain) with extensive know-how and experience in the development and coordination of international cooperation projects mainly funded within the framework of EU programmes, especially in the field of education, training and research.

What is the expected contribution?

  • Strengthening European Social Fund to improve the quality and accessibility to education making the European Education Area a reality by 2025
  • Discussing a Digital Education Action Plan in order to democratise digital education at all age levels.

Challenge topics

  • Further progress in digitisation of training after COVID-19 as a way to advance equality.
  • Skills in the digital age.
  • Moving towards egalitarian and democracy-fostering education.
  • Bridging the digital divide among young people to achieve equality.

CHAIR OF WG

María Pilar Naranjo Río-Miranda – EU Project Officer – Pilar Naranjo is graduated in Communication with a Master degree in International Relations, and she is currently a European Projects Technician at INCOMA (Spain). Her experience in digital contents for education will provide her the tools to manage the topic of Education & Culture with a gender approach on the Future of Europe for the WISE4Challenges project, involving young people and trainers in Spain through their networks.
